Wilshere, who spent ten years at his boyhood club,
is leaving because he wasn’t given assurance of
playing time.
It was gathered that new manager Unai Emery told
him that his game time would be ‘significantly
reduced.’
The 26-year-old was to be prepared to sign a
reduced contract.
Another midfielder leaving is Cazorla after his
injury-ravaged final two seasons. His last
appearance was in October 2016.
Meanwhile, Per Mertesacker will take charge of
the club’s Academy.
