Chelsea close to signing Real Madrid target

The Blues are set to rival the European giants for the signature of Roma goalkeeper Alison Becker.
Thibaut Courtois has refused to commit his future to the Stamford Bridge outfit, with a year remaining on his contract and he has refused to sign a new deal, Chelsea could listen to offers for the Belgian shot-stopper.
Marca report that Chelsea is the close to signing the Brazil international as they are near to matching his €70 million (£62m) valuation.
Los Blancos have also made the 25-year-old one of their priority but they are unwilling to match Roma valuation.
Real Madrid offer of €40m (£35m) has been rejected and the Spanish giant is reluctant to increase their bid.
According to the report in Marca, the Brazilian goalkeeper favours a move to Real Madrid but Real Madrid’s offer is ‘very distant’ with Roma.
Earlier this week, the Serie A club’s Roma sporting director Monchi suggested that the Brazilian could be sold this summer.
‘There’s no such thing anywhere in the world as an unsellable player,’ he said. ‘The perfect answer would be to say that he’s unsellable, but I can’t say that because such a player doesn’t exist.’
Chelsea might offload Courtois in a bid to accommodate the Brazilian shot-stopper.
